Yeah, I think of macro more as "study" type photography than creative photography. But of course there are exceptions to that...

i would like to get a macro lens, i haven't looked at the prices yet, but it would defintiely spice up my gallery. having said that, too much macro is unoriginal nowadays. hmm.. choices...
